What a phenomenal day today – filled with great food all the way through. We started out with a 64th birthday breakfast for Walter. He reminded us that today is also Paul McCartney’s birthday and he wrote the song “When I’m Sixty-Four” which includes “Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I’m sixty-four?” – Apparently I will LOL
I then had the opportunity to join a slew of expats who do fund raising for the area – Ladies of the Lake (or LOL). It was a pot-luck and oh my…what a spread! I had the opportunity to bring back a few desserts to share with my two men.
For dinner I cooked again (still feeding you Walter!) which included the most amazing dark chocolate cake (from the pot-luck leftovers) which we included with a candle. All in all a fun filled food day in honour of my husband Walter!
The question remains – Will Walter still feed ME when I’m 64! We’ve got a few years to find out.
