Jimmy’s White Noise – DoWoo #38/365

It is 8:08 on the 8th of October and I am writing about Jimmy – our lucky cricket.  If you’ve been following my DoWoos – we introduced James T Cricket for my 23rd post. Unfortunately he joined our family for only a short period of time. However, after we put James T into the garden we were introduced to another cricket.  Greg named him Jimmy to differentiate.

Jiminy-Cricket-4Jimmy has been with us for a week now and the most interesting difference is he not only chirps all night long – he chirps all day long too (even when the light shines into the room he is in.  He continues to chirp when we say good morning, put food into his jar, add watered q-tips and even when we move the jar to a different room.  AMAZING!

white_noise_1_by_falln_stock (1)It has become so consistent it is (almost) like white noise.  I’ve caught myself a few times to listen for him to make sure he is OK.  What I found was that he was still chirping but I was not hearing him.

Have you ever had a cricket outside your window on a hot summer’s night?  Crickets are not quiet!  So…how could this be?

How much of what we hear every day has become white noise to us?  What information is reaching our cognitive abilities without us even being aware?  This makes me take pause and reassess my environment.   I wonder…what is your Jimmy White Noise?

Humbled – DoWoo #29/365

While we create our daily existence to be full of a multitude of requirements, schedules, to-dos, must haves, want to dos, get to dos, interactions, rest and recovery, the list goes on and on. Ultimately though…does any of it really truly matter?

103-004-cosmos-when-knowledge-conquered-fear-large-photo-960x540I am only one of so many people on this planet.  The time of my life is only a small blip in this entire existence as we understand it. Is there a point?

I am in awe of how vast the possibilities are.  I am humbled to know I am here for a purpose. I look forward to embracing what I was meant to do and be.  Maybe I am here to be here for you?  Thank you for allowing me to share my words – my thoughts – my dreams.

3s & 8s – DoWoo #25/365

Did a lot of number crunching today – both for the Master Key class which starts on Sunday and my consulting work. Looking at all those numbers, I tend to recognize whenever I see patterns. It’s not often but occasionally I do see a pattern with 3 of one number and 2 of another.

guided-meditation-300x246I have a philosophy which has served me well.  I allow everything with a grain of salt. Because of this, when a friend of mine shared a book about numbers and angels, whenever I see a combination with a minimum of 2 of one number and 3 of another, I always look up Doreen Virtue’s Number Sequence From The Angels. It’s almost like getting a coded message whenever the universe wants to show you…and you are paying attention.

So…the point.  I saw a combination of 3s and 8s.  3’s and 8’s, such as 338 or 383 – “Keep going,” the masters say to you. Boost the energy and focus of your thoughts and feelings. Realign your outlook with the knowledge of your oneness with God, everyone, and all life.

Here I am concentrating on being a better more aligned version of myself – allowing my pure potential to shine and in the process of recording my journey…possibly help others.  I am blessed to be learning all that I am learning at this time.  May I continue to be blessed to continuously understand it and be able to share it with others to enrich all our lives.

Identify; Don’t Compare – DoWoo #22/365

Was speaking with someone today about our network marketing business when she made reference to how she felt when someone else got up at an event who had reached a certain goal – and she had not; or someone had got all the initial starting perks – and she may not have. I immediately was reminded of the advice given to me by a recovering alcoholic – “It’s OK to identify with others; just don’t compare.”  I shared the advice I had been given.

Yolo-Award-CeremonyVectorToons.comThere will be a time when someone stands up to be acknowledged for having successfully reached their goals. Be supportive and cheer for them. There will be a time when someone is not able to stand up to be acknowledged as they have not reached their goal as yet.  Be supportive and cheer for them.

Every person who stands up to be acknowledged was once seated. Every person who remains seated will at some point stand up – either to be acknowledged or walk away – their choice.  We are in fact both of these people at all times.

However, neither of these other people standing or sitting has any bearing on our journey. Recognizing where we are, identifying with those who have reached their goals, identifying with those who have not – allows us to clearly see where we are, and what we wish to do to be where we want to be. That is all.

red carpetNo comparison required. No beating oneself up for having not “got there yet”. It does not have any bearing on any positive aspect of our existence or how we relate to the other person. Relish in where you are. Aspire to be all that you wish to be. Identify with others and embrace their journey as their own. Now embrace yours as it is meant to be at this singular moment in time.

Thank you for stopping by – if you like what you read – please share! If you want to share in my journey, please choose to follow me. I wish you and abundance of blessings!

Family – DoWoo #20/365

The message abounds within my life right now – FAMILY!

I am seeing what I am meant to observe – truly observe.  Witnessing family members adjusting in order to care for a parent.  Seeing the enormous strength which my husband is within.  My son asking what is better: a loving life or a rich life?  Request for us to spend even more “family time” together.  I observe that all of this is to remind me that as hard as we work, as hard as we strive and dream and persist towards our dreams – nothing matters if we don’t have our family.

I sent a picture to a friend of ours today (below) with the intent to share in the vast differences our countries offer (she lives on an island).  I’ve been here: stunning representation of that spot!

1085 (1)Her reply made me take pause.  “That’s Gorgeous. I would trade you if my family was there.”

What phenomenal sentiment. To appreciate and yet know you would remain, or move, as long as your family was there.

In answer to Gregory’s question – “A rich life is a life filled with love.”  What do you think?

R2A2 – DoWoo #14/365

neriumintternational1During a regional training for my business yesterday I found myself stopping to remind myself to observe without opinion.  Each reminder was a shift in real-time.  I was able to be at peace and truly listen – hearing numerous points which resonated. Met some fantastic people and I thoroughly look forward to seeing how these connections evolve in the years ahead.

Afterwards I was completing a few errands when I found myself getting frustrated with others (in hindsight – recognizing frustration with myself). This resulted in my being snappy and rude (not an opinion – truly an observation) with my husband and son when I returned home.

b55a6cc90fcad4d053c22be5b8f020889b14c5c447fb841889f50534ee271ebaIt took me till the end of the day to R2A2 (Recognize & Relate; Assimilate & Apply) my actions and realize I needed to halt the negative pattern and get back on track. The point of recognition came when our son and I were having our just-before-bed “family time” cuddle/conversation. We were almost done when he reminded me to “keep my body away from the computer” as daddy had suggested. He then went on to comment that I work too much and maybe I needed to schedule “family time” during the day.  I wholeheartedly agreed and thanked him for the idea.

We’ve been teaching Greg about enjoying different activities during the day so he does not get too much of any one thing – living with a healthy balance.   Right back at me!   Well done him!

mario-kart-sd-21630396During this morning’s “family time” cuddle/chat I apologized to Greg for not being my best the previous day when I snapped and was grumpy with him. He said “That’s ok”, smiled and then hugged me tight. I explained that I would be better going forward. I would not ‘try’ but I would do it. I thanked him for helping me to become a better person.  I then suggested he teach me how to play Mario Cart so I could do my “family time” in the middle of today.  The rest of our cuddle was spent listening to all the things I needed to know before I picked up the Wii remote.

Epiphany Time – DoWoo #11/365

Depth+Perception.+I+don+t+got+it_b289f2_4607257I was in a family meeting last night with my 6 siblings. There were a lot of observations and opinions were flying rampant.   The great news is I restrained my opinions – avoiding feeding the bucket.  The even better news is I was able to observe my one sister’s ability to continuously keep us on track.  I had no idea she had this skill.

As an individual we may perceive others based upon our relationship with them rather than look at them as whole individuals.  What I figured out is that until now I have always observed and perceived my siblings as individuals within the family dynamics.  I limited my view to how they interacted AS family members.

perceptionPondering this in greater detail I now realize I have done this in ALL aspects of my life. I have viewed co-workers only on how they perform at work. I view customer service personnel, where I am a patron, as to how well they serve me.  I now realize I have mistakenly viewed my husband as a co-worker (we have a business together) rather than as the husband, father, and co-owner of the business we run.

Whoa! That was a doozy self-observation!  Time to reflect, readjust and continue on with a better understanding: Observe each individual as a whole – you may see abilities which were hidden by your limiting views.

AWESOME – DoWoo #5/365

Today was an AWESOME day!  My DoWoos were enjoyed by making extra time for our family.

lightning_stormWe hit record highs – one of the warmest days of the entire summer.   After work we all climbed in the pool and played together. Fridays are family movie nights with homemade pepperoni, bacon, mushroom, garlic and extra cheese pizza! We just finished watching the movie when the thunder & lightening storm came through in full force.

Greg and I stood at the front door watching the lightening brighten the entire street. He said “That was so cool“.  It’s a “regular natural firework show!”   How very apt.  How very enjoyable. I paused and just allowed.  Wonderful observations.

No1-trimmedI want to say thank you to the Universal Source for all my blessings today, with my family being #1.  Everything is truly “Awesome”!

I looking forward to learning more tomorrow!

Thank you for stopping by!
