We received a call from my father-in-law this morning at 5am. He had forgotten we are now 2 hours difference. He is an absolutely sweetie and Walter was able to answer all his questions about what we are eating, doing and what everything looks like. I adore my father-in-law!
While I was down in the office, Walter had a front row seat to the soaring eagles and managed to capture a few pics. These 2 come out to play a few times a day in front of us – sometimes coming as close as 10′ from the roof line. A joy to behold.

The day was mostly sunny – rain on the other side of the lake – until later in the day when we were picked up to go for pizza at Visas del Lago. Gracias to Bev Sheatz (owner) who invited and cooked for us. There was a bit of rain and then mist on the way home.
The expat group of people we have met so far are mostly of a similar ilk in that they found something peaceful – something which called to them – in the Costa Rican offering.
We are blessed to be here and to everyone who has welcomed us, included us, helped us, fed us and are truly making our transition a journey beyond what we could have ever imagined. Gracias to you all!

Everywhere I look I see something “awesome”, to quote Gregory.
This is the literal embodiment of “it’s all about the journey not the destination.” Even though we are here the journey of life continues with all its glory.
And I have the best travel companions.
