Who’s teaching Whom? – DoWoo #78/365

I love how every day either I am able to personally observe something which resonates or if I don’t, one of my men do!  Greg talks about “dowoo-ing” regularly.  Walter is a close second.

This evening I was just about to get on the Master Key Digital Connections call when Walter bounces into the office – literally vibrating with excitement about something. He then shares the following story.

6e11d5fe9e6a318258292da907963c3914e40f6cHe and Greg were finishing up their dinner while I was getting ready for the call. Greg asked Walter to play Mario Kart. Walter explained that he needed to wrap everything up in the kitchen and then get on the call and…  He then looked at Gregory and said “No. We are going to go play Mario Kart.”

Greg's PhrasesGregory put his fork down on the table, looked straight at his father and solemnly counseled. “Don’t waste your time making your life better: Use what you’ve got already.”  Walter quickly wrote it down to ensure he could share with me.

Upon reflection he turned to Gregory and said “This is the Law of Gratitude. Do you know what it means to be grateful?” No.  So Walter went on to explain that it means to be thankful for what you have. Gregory proceeded to discuss and give personal examples of his understanding of the discussion (something we encourage him to do which has now become second nature). One example was that he does not think about having Wii-U – he has a Wii-Mini and he is grateful he has this.

20141117_190605Gregory explained he had the definition in one of his books.  He ran upstairs and grabbed one of his Geronimo Stilton books “The Volcano of Fire” (These are just about all he reads right now and will rake leaves for hours to earn $ to purchase them.)  He flipped to page 81 where he shows his father the definition of Gratitude.

Both are phenomenal aspects of gratitude to incorporate into one’s life.  I am personally grateful our son appreciates what he has, is able to clearly articulate this aspect of his understanding and belief system and has the ability to associate what he reads to how we are living our life with him.

thank youWhat a beautiful way to wrap up my day.
I am grateful you stopped by and allowed me to share.

No matter what… – DoWoo #70/365

callReceived a call this evening from a good friend of mine who resides in Scotland. She and I met in 2,000 when we worked for a small division of a global corporation. We bonded a year later when we both worked out of our London office.  Debbie is a wonderful soul who is on a journey of discovery (a hero’s journey I now recognize it to be) and I have the pleasure of calling her my friend – a sister by choice.

We spoke for almost 90 minutes. The depth of her teachings leave me in awe.  Tonight we spoke of many things but the repetitive message I heard was one of learning to be calm in the midst of chaos.  This is something I get glimpses of. Debbie embodies this teaching and admits one may always continue to try…but ultimately this is ones goal – to be totally calm, at one with the Universal Source, no matter what hell is going on around them.

Greenhouse_by_Joost_Imagine_800x332being all that we can be, as our source intended us to be, allowing everything to be as it is, live truly in the NOW without concern for future moments or consideration for past moments? How wondrous would it be to have no fear, worry, stress, anxiousness, anger….? If we live in the NOW and allow – we would not know these things.  The “no matter what” would have zero effect on us.

As Mark J mentioned on tonight’s webcast, we would be in the ZONE: Zero Out Negative Effect. zone_4 (1)

Embrace Song Again – DoWoo #67/365

Generosity was experienced today.  I was given a last minute ticket to go see Sarah Mclachlan this evening.  I had just under 2 hours to wrap up work, eat, dress and leave for downtown. When I was in my seat at Massey Hall, it seemed a bit surreal.  A few hours ago I had no idea I would be doing what I was doing. I paused and asked myself: What is this meant to tell me?

See I’ve come to realize that we truly need to pay attention.  Messages from the universe, our source, are all around us – telling us what we need to know. We just need to listen.  They are not always blatant and straight forward – sometimes they are unobtrusive.

Without an answer coming to mind,  I sat back and allowed the ambiance to float through me. Enjoy the moment.

The first song Sarah sang was called “In Your Shoes”.  I had not heard her new CD therefore did not know any of her new songs.  The lyrics to this one start with “You turn the radio on / Play your favorite song and cry (Cry)” and end with “You turn the radio on / Play your favorite song and sing out so loud“.

I used to love singing along to Sarah, Nora Jones, Beth Orton and a few others. When did I stop? When did I loose touch with listening and singing.  It used to “pump me up”, feel empowered. Artists Create.  Others identify with their work.  Something resonates within them.  They “Feel” something.  Whatever they were meant to feel. And they now know someone else out there understands their situation – because here is a song which tells them what they need to hear.

The song talks about “Time for you to walk out walk in your own shoes / Lay down your footprints wherever you choose / Say what’s on your mind with pride / ‘Cause you are your own woman.”

I embrace song again.  I am grateful for the person who shared the ticket.  I am grateful for Sarah Mclachlan with her amazing dharma. I am stepping out! Look out world…Here I come! This is most definitely an observation.  I will not muddy the waters by trying to identify and having an opinion.  I allow and embrace myself again.  Thank you.

Pillow Fun – DoWoo #50/365

I was going to entitle this DoWoo “Pillow Fight” when I stopped myself. We were NOT fighting. We were having FUN! Hence the revised title and perception of what we did.

Gregory has been a very understanding little man with all the commitments Walter and I have made these past few months. We ensure we have some time spent together – focusing on quality and not being too hung up on the quantity.

family-photos-durbanville-cape-town-vanessa-14I set aside a 20 minute window to spend with Greg  – just he and I regrouping at the end of the day.  This is what ended up being our pillow fun time.  It was hilarious with the both of us back and forth and off and on the main bed, ending up in pillow tussles with the dog gurgle growling beside us – she being unsure what was going on and who to protect.

I had a blast!   Best 20 minutes of my day.  I am grateful for making today count.

Squirreled with a Smile – DoWoo #49/365

As a parent one of the things I struggle with is when our son gets distracted after we have asked him to do something in a timely manner.  We call this being squirreled.  As in the dogs from the movie “Up” whenever they…well, you’d have to have seen the movie to truly appreciate the visual here.

365c991We prefer not to have to keep repeating ourselves so the current attempt to help motivate him to stay on track is to reduce his electronic time by 15 minutes. We’re not crazy about this option – and are working out the logistics to an alternate reward program rather than the current penalty program.  But, this program is what we have today. We do our best.

4998342157_7feeffe7ac_zSo, I had asked Greg to finish doing something so he could get to bed. I waited about 15 minutes figuring I’d given him 3x the required time needed. During that time I heard a lot of singing.  Since he does sing while he does stuff I thought nothing of it. When I called out to ask whether he had finished.  There was silence and then he explained he got distracted….by singing.

I walked over and asked him if he thought we should remove 15 minutes of electronics for his distraction.  To which he answered. “It’s mostly your choice if you want to do it.”  Then he added “It’s mostly my choice because I did it. Now it’s up to you if you want to.”

And he said the entire thing very matter-of-fact-with his usual I’m-having-fun smile firmly in place.  It’s about 15 minutes later (seriously) and I’m typing this so I don’t forget what he said and he’s still in there singing and talking about cool Halloween ideas – even a joke “Why do people hollow out their pumpkins in October? Because it’s Halloween.”

After having been on the Master Key webinar this evening – during which the team talked about the Law of Giving and Receiving, I am in awe.  I cannot imagine what amazing gifts I gave out to the Universe to deserve receipt of such an amazing gift such as this child.  However, I can say from my heart, my core –  I feel blessed beyond measure and I am most grateful.

Their Dreams – DoWoo #32/365

Universe_in_handI observed.  We are honoured to work on helping others with their dreams. How blessed we are to be entrusted; when someone is willing to share their ambitions, their hopes, their desires.  I imagine that our source must feel exuberance beyond anything WE can conceive. Our source holds all our dreams in their vision.

The juggling and multi-tasking that must go on at that higher level to listen, truly listen to all of us.  To what we desire, what we hope for, where we aspire to be.  And as long as our source deems it does not take away anyone’s good, we are granted the path to our dream.

We need to be clear, concise and heartfelt.  Then we must be patient and open to the path given to us.  The path may not always be clear, and most likely nothing like we imagine it, but our source has computed all the possible permutations and showed us the path most beneficial to all for our dream to come to fruition.  Are you listening? Are you watching?  The path is right there in front of you. Get in your vehicle (actual & metaphorically) and hit the road.

An allowable opinion? – DoWoo #31/365

userHad an interesting experience this evening. Was on a call with some lovely ladies going over a technical presentation.  I am honoured to be part of this group, lending my lack of expertise to help ensure the presentation is as “layman” user friendly as possible.

Was providing my nickles worth when I caught myself.  I’m not supposed to be giving opinions – I must DoWoo!  The team reminded me my opinion was being asked for, so I was perfectly OK to share.  Whew!

yeah_1However, what I realized from this exercise was that I RECOGNIZED I was giving an opinion. How HUGE is that?  When I started this process I struggled with being aware of what I was doing.  Now I’m beginning to catch myself more often.  This is a fantastic shift in awareness.  YEAH!

This after only 30 days – IMAGINE how it will be after 335 more?! I DoWoo; Do U?

Love the Universe – DoWoo #18/365

I love how the universe works!

Grand_Universe

Now…is that an observation….or an opinion?  I’m going to go with it being an observation of my feelings – and allow it to flow from there!

Today’s Inspirational Quote:  “If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that you can do something about it, then there is no need to worry. If it’s not fixable, then there is no help in worrying. There is no benefit in worrying whatsoever.”   — Dalai Lama

Yesterday’s DoWoo was about not worrying and remembering to be HAPPY!  The universe knows I am in the middle of assisting with the Worldwide Launch of the 2014/2015 Master Key Experience Course which goes live in 10 days. The universe has observed I have a consulting business which requires my attention. The universe is aware I spent time with my mom this week. And finally the universe knows I  made a commitment to blog my DoWoos for 365 days.

So….the universe provides my daily inspirational quote in a way which inspires observation without opinion.  How very blessed I feel.  I have no worry – as there is no benefit.  I have no opinion – as there is no benefit!

Be happy knowing the universe loves you right back!

Desire: Allow: Observe: Receive – DoWoo #15/365

Many teach that whatever you desire will materialize. How is this possible?  AND how does one go about doing what appears to most to be an impossible undertaking.

impossible

If you believe that it is possible but just don’t know where to start, allow me to recommend you consider the Master Key Experience. I learned about the science behind what we see and feel and think about and then most importantly about the ‘how’ to go about manifesting whatever possibility you can imagine. What you think about does materialize.

  1. Greg left one of his crocks at Wild Water Kingdom.  I know….how does only 1 crock get left? Turns out he kicked the crocks into the foot well of his back seat AS he was getting into the car to go home. 1 crock did not end up IN the car – but we did not realize it till we were at home in the driveway. We checked the parking lot the next day but no luck. Greg loves his crocks! Walter went to Walmart the following day to see if he could find another pair.  He even had one of the sales associates help look. No crocks left!
  2. I’ve recently released 15 lbs.  My favourite pair of grey leggings fall down now. It’s a great feeling….(sort of).  Unfortunately I’ve not seen these particular, and extremely comfortable, leggings again since I purchased the first pair.

R2A2 – DoWoo #14/365

neriumintternational1During a regional training for my business yesterday I found myself stopping to remind myself to observe without opinion.  Each reminder was a shift in real-time.  I was able to be at peace and truly listen – hearing numerous points which resonated. Met some fantastic people and I thoroughly look forward to seeing how these connections evolve in the years ahead.

Afterwards I was completing a few errands when I found myself getting frustrated with others (in hindsight – recognizing frustration with myself). This resulted in my being snappy and rude (not an opinion – truly an observation) with my husband and son when I returned home.

b55a6cc90fcad4d053c22be5b8f020889b14c5c447fb841889f50534ee271ebaIt took me till the end of the day to R2A2 (Recognize & Relate; Assimilate & Apply) my actions and realize I needed to halt the negative pattern and get back on track. The point of recognition came when our son and I were having our just-before-bed “family time” cuddle/conversation. We were almost done when he reminded me to “keep my body away from the computer” as daddy had suggested. He then went on to comment that I work too much and maybe I needed to schedule “family time” during the day.  I wholeheartedly agreed and thanked him for the idea.

We’ve been teaching Greg about enjoying different activities during the day so he does not get too much of any one thing – living with a healthy balance.   Right back at me!   Well done him!

mario-kart-sd-21630396During this morning’s “family time” cuddle/chat I apologized to Greg for not being my best the previous day when I snapped and was grumpy with him. He said “That’s ok”, smiled and then hugged me tight. I explained that I would be better going forward. I would not ‘try’ but I would do it. I thanked him for helping me to become a better person.  I then suggested he teach me how to play Mario Cart so I could do my “family time” in the middle of today.  The rest of our cuddle was spent listening to all the things I needed to know before I picked up the Wii remote.

I.O.U. – DoWoo #6/365

Had lunch with a friend while her car was at the mechanics being checked out.  When I returned, I parked and was walking towards the shop when I spotted a Kirby vacuum cleaner in the window. It was sparkly clean with ALL the attachments in their spots along the top ring.  I was compelled to walk in.

images (99)Vacuums and parts everywhere! A wall of accessories and vacuum bags! Hey, I need vacuum bags!  My vacuum is a Tri-Star model, purchased in 1991 (purchased from a dear friend who was selling door to door), and not everyone carries the replacement bags.  Who would have thunk?  The Universe was certainly taking care of me today!

I chatted briefly with the owner and he pulled off the correct bags and handed them to me.  I walked to the counter and opened my purse, asking “You take debit?” He said “No.” I closed my wallet and said that I would need to come back . He asked me how much cash I did have?  I explained I had none (had just paid the cleaning lady the day before with all my cash – LOL).   He paused and then said “You can take them home and pay me later.”

unnamedHe then passed me a square piece of white paper – the size of a sticky note but not sticky – and said, “Just write me an I.O.U. for the bags.” As I wrote out the I.O.U with my name, my number and what I was taking home he said “Some people don’t come back but I know you will.”  I do not recall the last time I wrote an I.O.U. but it felt good to have that connection with a fellow human being I just met.

What a kind and honest man. Blessings come to us…sometimes when we least expect them.

I wonder…How did the Universe see me today?  I wonder if I got to be someone’s blessing?

do wooI looking forward to being observant tomorrow!
